This editorial project has been developed to present my thesis project, the Z-Axis Manifesto. The text presents all the research phases, analyses, tests, and principles adopted during the thesis design. As the project talks about a VR project, I had to find a way to integrate what I learned about living in virtual reality into the book's structure. So, I decided to develop a typographic grid based on the framework created using human field of view as a starting point.
I started using the grid based on our field of view. Then I decided the aspect ratio of the pages, using the proportions of the FOV. At that point, I decided the height of the base grid, printing some text before in order to choose the line height and the font dimensions. Finally, I adapted the FOV to the base grid, obtaining the final structure that I applied during the design of the book.
